Tri-City Youth Conclave 2013: Celebrating Thoughts

Satluj Public School, Sector- 4, Panchkula, in association with Youth Brigade—Youth with a Difference and GGS Sachdeva Group of Educational Institutes, presented the “Tri-City Youth Conclave 2013: Celebrating Thoughts” on January 29, 2013 at Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula.

The idea was to show the youth of the tri-city that role models are from amongst them only, and not only the stars that are seen on TV and read about in the news.

An open house discussion was held, where school and college students from various schools and colleges from the region shared their apprehensions and queries with the 9 super-heroes of the tri-city, who are mentioned below.

The young achievers are from fields such as dance, media, literature, education, social crusades, and business.

The Chief Guest was Mr. Krit Serai, Principal, Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula.

The event commenced with the introduction of the “super-heroes of the tri-city”, and proceeded with brief interactive sessions and musical performances by students of schools and colleges. The event received a great footfall from various educational institutes across the region. Events like this motivate the youth to achieve their set goals and do their bit for the betterment and welfare of the society. Such events should be encouraged.

“I have learnt a lot from these speakers, and will make sure I work towards my dream of being a dancer,” says Rohini, Class XII, Government Model, Sector 16, Chandigarh.

“I am privileged to have met such young achievers, and will definitely work harder towards my goals. I am very inspired,” says Gurleen, Class XII, Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula.

“The young speakers are enigmas, and they have fought against all odds to reach where they are now. Hats off to them. I want to be like them,” says Piyush, B.Com-I, DAV 10.

“I wish more events like these can be organised to guide us in our youth! Wonderful Conclave! Kudos to the organisers for coming up with something so creative and inspirational,” says Harleen, SD College.

We decided to undertake this exercise to make today’s youth aware of role models available in their own locality which would inspire them for achieving their dreams. It’s important that youngsters listen to these young speakers and learn from whatever they have to offer.view-gallery
