International Yoga Day is observed worldwide every year on the 21st of June. The day came into existence in 2015 after being declared unanimously by the United National General Assembly (UNGA). Yoga is a mental, physical, and spiritual practice that roots back to India. It was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who suggested June 21 as International Yoga Day as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. On this auspicious occasion Satlujians with their family members, teachers and their families enthusiastically participated and pledged to eat healthy and dedicate themselves and others for healthy life. Satlujians requested every one, “To be one, take care of each other and make everyone stress free with Yoga.” Reekrit Serai, Managing Director, Satluj Group of Schools said, ‘Yoga is a discipline. It brings a sense of fulfilment and peace of mind. It’s rewarding to see that our Satluj family came together as one and pledged to lead a healthy life during this difficult time.’
