ACHIEVEMENTS AND ACTIVITIES IN THE FIELD OF ART EDUCATION

Art is a mode of communication and enjoyment both for children. They not only reveal their innermost feelings, emotions, thoughts, experiences or ideas through their creations but also get immense pleasure while going through the process of making an art piece.

As school provide endless opportunities to quench their creative thirst. Our students have participated in not only district level competitions but also in State level and National level painting, music and dance competitions. Mehar Juneja in the middle wing has won the National award in BBMB ( Bhakra Beas Management Board). She received the award in New Delhi from the Ministry of Power. Many of our budding artists like Sujal, Mayank Arya, Karan Singh, Keshav, Sonam, Priyanka, Riya Garg… have won many prizes in the district child welfare competitions of- Art, Clay modelling, best out of waste, sketching, drawing and colouring, Rangoli; Pallavi on the spot Painting competition; Mango Mela in Pinjore; Spring Fest, All India Camelin on the spot Painting competition , Painting competition by Tribune and many more. The students have brought laurels to the school.

In the Art classes special attention is given to the step by step pictorial representations and children friendly art styles. We try to cover all kind of art forms, themes and presentation. Time to times activities are conducted in the classes according to the upcoming special days like festivals and events. Activities like Poster Making on ‘Gandhi Jayanti’; Rakhi making on ‘Rakshabandhan’; Diya or candle decoration on ‘Diwali’; socks decoration carnival cycle decoration on Christmas are conducted within the classes. These activities are introduced to enrich our students about our traditional styles of art and different cultures also.

Our students have also excelled in dance and music competitions. Tanurika, Pranav, Abhiyuday, Ishita, Jahnvi, Jasmine, Dev and many more students have won different music competitions. Similarly in dance our students have won different competitions and awards.
