Satluj Insignia

The School Insignia

Our school symbol comprises ‘Arya Bhatta— in Space’ the first Indian spaceship, indicating the preparation of our students for space age. When we started our school in 1976, Indian Scientists had just successfully launched indigenously made ‘Arya Bhatta’. Therefore, we adopted the Arya Bhatta in space as our symbol. The drawing in the inner circle of our insignia shows Arya Bhatta surrounded by stars. The top and bottom parts of the circle show a flowing river producing agricultural crops, such as, wheat, etc., and generating electricity. Presently our India in the new millenium, is increasingly becoming a world space power, thanks to the first spaceship ‘Arya Bhatta’.

Our school is named after theyriver Satlui, a benevolent river of India. Rigeda was written by the great sages on the banks of this river. This is popularly known as the river of knowledge and plenty.

Satluj originates from the world famous lake Mansarovar in Tibet and joins five rivers of the Punjab and the river Sindh to mingle with waters of numerous other rivers to make the great ocean known as ‘Arab Sagar’ and also called Arabian Sea.

The region where we set up our school gets its water from river Satluj. Its electricity supply also comes from Bhakra Nangal Dam formed by the river Satluj. Thus our insignia is a logo type of very rich ideas and is symbolic of the direction of the technological advancement of our country. The two circles show the infinite goals of education.
