SATLUJ CHOIR MEETS VICE-PRESIDENT OF INDIA

Satlujians made us proud at the 15th edition of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Agro Tech India 2022, which was organized on the 4th of November, 2022 at Parade Ground, Sector-17, Chandigarh. The Satluj Choir sang the National Anthem in front of Honourable Vice President of India Sh. Jagdeep Dhankar and Honourable Second Lady of India Smt. Sudesh Dhankar, and interacted with them.

Our Managing Director, Mr. Reekrit Serai, who is a Chandigarh UT Council Member and Co-Convenor of Education at Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), was highly appreciative of the opportunity for Satlujians and commended the children for their exemplary performance.

Also present were Honourable Governor of Haryana, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya; Honourable Governor of Punjab and Chandigarh UT Administrator Sh. Banwarilal Purohit; Agricultural Minister of Punjab Sh. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal; Mr. Sanjiv Puri, Chairman & Managing Director, ITC Ltd and other dignitaries.

SATLUJ PRODUCES ANOTHER TRI-CITY TOPPER & EXCELLENT CBSE XII and X CLASS RESULTS

Guru Purnima

On the eve of Guru Purnima on 13th July, the Hindi department of Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula conducted various literary activities to show their devotion and love towards their ‘Guru’. The young scholars were asked to compose a poem on their idea of a true Guru. Students also showed their creative writing skills by writing a composition on their role models. Satlujians showed keen interest in the activities and poured their devout faith towards their Guru through their poetry and composition writing skills.

Satlujians Win Big at the Mango Mela, Pinjore

The 29th Mango Mela was organised at Yadavindra Gardens, Pinjore on the 8th, 9th and 10th of July by Haryana Tourism.
Students of Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula participated in a flurry of colourful competitions and won top positions in ‘Show n tell’, Drawing, Singing, Extempore etc. The enthusiasm of all the participants was highly appreciated.

Winners are as follows:

Rahi of Class IX (T.S.Eliot),
Aditya Aggarwal of Class VIII (Marigold),
Jaskirat of Class IX (T.S.Eliot) and Sanskriti Class VIII (Marigold) bagged the
3rd Prize in ‘Show n tell’ (Category 13 years to 18 years)

Diya Rana of Class XII (Marshall) bagged the
2nd Prize in Drawing (Senior category 13 years to 18 years)

Bhoomika of Class IX (Tennyson) bagged the 3rd Prize in Extempore(Category 12 years to 18 years)

Likhit of Class VI (Sunflower) was awarded with a Special prize in Singing with a cash voucher of Rs.500
(Category 8years to 18 years).

The winners were presented with trophies and certificates as well.

Congratulations to UCL (University College London) for being ranked No. 8 in the world in the QS World University Rankings by Times Higher Education. UCL is the alma mater of our Managing Director, Mr. Reekrit Serai, and the home of luminaries such as Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, Alexander Graham Bell, Chris Martin (Coldplay) and many more.

Applied Lesson (AL) activity for Social Studies

As a part of Applied Lesson (AL) activity for Social Studies, Satlujians of Class 6, Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula, made pictorial displays on the intriguing features of the Stone Age. Through their displays they depicted the time frame, tools, inventions/ discoveries, etc. of that time period.
To explore their knowledge in Geography, Class 6 students also spoke about Motions of the Earth.

Abhinav Rana of Class X, Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula showcased his amazing talent in acting in a recent web series with renowned actors Raj Babbar and Poonam Dhillon. He was also cast in Crime Patrol and was seen in the movie ‘Sharma Ji Ki Beti’. Wishing you all the very best for a bright future in the field of acting.

On the 2nd death anniversary of our revered Founder-Chairman Late S. Pritam Singh Serai, we pay obeisance to the legendary educationist who introduced the best educational practices from different parts of the world to north India. Many of his teachings and systems have become mainstream and adopted by thousands of schools across India and other countries. His lasting contribution to society, amongst numerous others, will always be Satluj Public School and the thousands of students that have passed through the gates of these institutions, laying the foundation for Satluj Group of Schools. We cherish the time spent with you and the legacy you’ve left behind for the Satluj family.

Raksha Bandhan 2021

To celebrate siblinghood this year, Satlujians of all classes celebrated Raksha Bandhan very enthusiastically. They took keen interest in making beautiful Rakhis for their brothers and sisters and even wrote wonderful poems to express their love and affection towards their beloved siblings. Through their art, Satlujians made the day memorable and celebrated the strong bond that they share with their brothers and sisters.
